The Red Lion offers home-cooked food including many traditional favourites and lovely daily specials using local ingredients. We also offer an array of sandwiches and snacks for a light bite. Desserts are made in-house and may include chocolate and walnut tart, sticky toffee pudding or apple-pie made with apples from the trees in the hotel garden.

Come at the weekend and there is always Sunday roast lunch available, complete with all the trimmings. We also have a full bar, local Ales on tap and great espresso coffee.

Opening times: Bar open all day, food is served from 11.30am - 2.30pm and from 5.30pm - 9.00pm.

Folk club

We host the Red Lion Folk Club on the second Friday of each month. Newcomers are always welcome to sing, play or just have a pint and enjoy the music. The folk club also run the annual ‘Red Lion Folk Day’ in July where they host music and dance workshops and we provide the barbeque.
